Securboration, Inc.

Research & Development Division

Since our inception, Securboration has established itself as a premier research and development organization. Our initial contract vehicles were initially through the Small Business Innovative Research program, and we excelled at the initial research and proof-of-concept (Phase I), full-scale development (Phase II) and commercialization (Phase III). Our successes and recognition in SBIR program have paved the way for continued growth and opportunities outside of the SBIR program that leverage all of Securboration’s Divisions to provide robust full-scale solutions.

While Securboration continues to grow, the goal of the Research and Development Division remains to continually identify the most challenging problems facing our customers. We leverage and extend a broad range of technologies, and work with our Subject Matter Experts, to develop proof-of-concept solutions that are evolved into deployable products by our Software Innovations Division and Product Development and Applications Division. By tackling the most difficult challenges facing our customers we have developed technologies that shape the state-of-the-art in areas such as Service Oriented Architecture and Artificial Intelligence. Representative technologies that we leverage and extend include:

  • Bayesian-based probabilistic reasoning
  • Ontological modeling (OWL)
  • Grid-based net-centric web service development and deployment
  • Semantic Markup for web services (OWL-S)
  • Natural Language Processing

The Research and Development Division also takes pride in teaming with the most prominent research institutions, such as Dartmouth College, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), and George Mason University. This has allowed Securboration to tap into the vast array of academia and jointly apply research in key areas such as:

  • Uncertainty Prediction
  • Cyber warfare
  • Effects-based assessment
  • Information Disclosure
  • Socio-cultural modeling
