Computational Linguist

Computational Linguist

Securboration, Inc., a small, growing research firm engaged in Department of Defense (DoD) and other scientific research, including modeling and simulation, net-centric applications, and cyber warfare, is currently seeking a Computational Linguist to join our team in the Research Triangle Park, NC or Washington D.C. region.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Cognitive Science or Mathematics;
  • Native competence in English
  • Fluency in one other language
  • Software development in Java and/or C++
  • Experience in developing algorithms relevant to natural language processing (NLP), corpus linguistics, and/or information extraction
  • Familiarity with open source lexical resources and NLP packages
  • The ability to obtain and hold a DoD Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Masters or PhD of Science in Linguistics, Computational Linguistics, Cognitive Science or Mathematics;
  • experience with UIMA
